The comfortable location within walking distance of the train station, lovely interior design, and affable staff providing extra attention to details made the stay enjoyable.

Breakfast was marvellous, great views, good location very close to a farm with splendid views and the historical roman ruins of Vindolanda and Hadrian's Wall. The personnel was amiable as expected. I didn't want to leave, so can't recommend highly enough this hotel.
